DTCP Accomplishments

ere is a list of the projects that the Partnership has completed. Also included are community projects that the Partnership assisted.

2005

  • “Bucher’s Beat” TV appearance - November 2005. Organized and supported “Bucher’s Beat” TV appearance at the Hotel Gallery in support of 2005 Winter’s Gathering.

2006

  • Tipp City Visitor’s Bureau - July 2006. The Partnership voted in 2006 to establish the Tipp City Visitor’s Bureau, a volunteer-run organization dedicated to promoting the downtown and greater Tipp City by creating an interactive website to highlight local businesses, restaurants, and events. The website, located at www.visittippcity.org, has been in operation for more than a year and receives an average of 1,000 visitors a month.
  • Parking Signage Improvement - August 2006. The Partnership worked with the City in producing a comprehensive Parking Report, which outlined the number and location of all available parking spaces in the downtown, then outlined suggested signage to assist local residents and out-of-town visitors in finding public parking. The City, following the plan, placed blue “Public Parking” signage throughout the downtown.
  • “Bucher’s Beat” TV appearance - November 2006. Organized appearance of Tipp City business owners and residents on local TV show “Bucher’s Beat” at Grounds for Pleasure in support of 2006 Winter’s Gathering.
  • Homes for the Holidays 2006 - December 2006. The Homes for the Holidays Tour, co-sponsored by the Downtown Tipp City Partnership (DTCP) and Tipp-Monroe Community Services (TMCS) was a huge success. After a 3-year hiatus, this year’s event sold close to 400 tickets and generated over $1,200 for TMCS.

2007

  • Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market 2007 Season - May 2007 to September 2007. Presented by the Downtown Tipp City Partnership, the first year of the Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market was a rousing success and drew great feedback from customers and praise from local residents and businesses alike. In fact, so many folks have asked about it, we’re bringing it back next year! Check out our dedicated Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market 2007 website for more information and updates.
  • Tipp City Community Guide - September 2007. The Partnership produced a new version of the Tipp City Community Guide, a 24-page full color booklet about Tipp City and the benefits of living in or locating a business in Tipp. The last version of the Guide was produced by the Tipp Chamber in 1990 and much of the information was out of date.
