TIPP CITY, OH – The Downtown Tipp City Partnership will hold its first monthly public meeting of the New Year on January 20th at 9am at the Tipp Monroe Community Services Building in Tipp City. The public is invited and encouraged to attend these informative meetings and share their opinions about what is going on in Tipp City.

The Partnership will be discussing upcoming projects such as the 2009 Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market and plans to become a Main Street USA organization. Representatives from City Government, Community Services, City Council, Tipp Chamber, the Library and interested business owners and residents will be in attendance and eager to hear your ideas. Monthly meetings of the Partnership are open to the public – in fact, residents and business owners are encouraged to attend the meetings, hear a little bit about what’s going on in the downtown and Tipp City, and make suggestions for improvements or new initiatives.

At the December Meeting, the Partnership planned for the New Year, wrapped up discussions on the Windows on Tippecanoe art project and discussed the Winters Yuletide Gathering event that took place in November. We also discussed the Partnership’s 501c3 status, an upcoming strategic planning session, and the completion of the northern bike path connection, which opened Tipp City up to Troy bike traffic.

The Tippecanoe HarvestFest is a city-wide celebration, with a month of exciting activities, parties and contests culminating in an outdoor Halloween Party, featuring food and drink, decorations, costume contests and local favorites Spungewurthy. Don’t be scared – come out and join the fun!

HarvestFest is back! Come join us on October 25th for the second annual outdoor over-21 party in downtown Tipp City from 7pm to 11pm! We’re shutting down 2nd street in the historic downtown shopping district and putting up tents for refreshments and a creepy Halloween bash! Local favorites Spungewurthy are returning. You must be 21 WITH PROPER ID to pick your poison. Beer, hard cider and soft drinks will be available, as will commemorative posters and other items. • 1 pm – 5 pm: “We Care Arts” at the Zion-Lutheran Church. A 25-year program for disabled children & adults using art as a means of expression.
• 2 pm – 6 pm: The “Homes for the Holidays” Tour sponsored the Downtown Tipp City Partnership. Visit some of Tipp City’s most historic homes decorated in holiday splendor. Admission required.
• 6:30 pm – 7 pm: “Old Tippecanoe Tree Lighting” sponsored by the Tipp City Area Chamber of Commerce.
• 7 pm – 8 pm: “Christmas Concert” at the Zion-Lutheran Church by Tipp City Community Band.

This annual holiday event features carriage rides, strolling carolers, downtown shopping and dining for the whole family.
