Hickory River Named Best in State

From the Tipp City Independent Voice:

Tipp City is now home to some award-winning cuisine as, at the Ohio State Fair, Hickory River was voted to have the best barbeque sauce and was named the Grand Champion of pulled pork.

“It feels great, we are ecstatic. We had never entered a barbeque competition before and to win our first one is pretty good,” said Brad Bowman, who owns Hickory River with his wife Krista.

Competitors came from all over the state of Ohio and the judges received a sample from each of them while blindfolded. With their mild sauce, Hickory River earned top honors.

Located at 135 S. Garber, Bowman recommends trying the award-winning taste by dine-in, drive through, carry out or catering.
