Farmers’ Market Almost Here

The 2008 season of the Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market is almost here! The members of the Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market Committee would like to welcome you to the second year of our thriving outdoor market that showcases locally grown and produced vegetables, fruits, perennials, cut flowers, homemade baked goods, handmade products and more! We are so excited for this second season and know you will be too!

Dates and Times: The Market will open on June 14th (Week 1) and be held every Saturday morning through September 13th (Week 14). The Market will be open, rain or shine, from 9 AM to 1 PM each Saturday (one hour longer than last season).

Location: The Market will be held on Third Street, between Main and Dow – Third Street will be closed to all traffic during this time to allow the Market patrons a safe environment in which to shop. Customer parking will be available along Main Street, in the Methodist Church lot, and along Dow Street.

Market Manager: Melissa Maclauchlan, this year’s Market Manager, and other market staff will be on hand before, during and after each market to assist customers and vendors. If you have a problem, contact a Staff member – they will be wearing Market shirts.

“Friends of the Market” Program: As part of our community outreach, we’ve created a “Friends of the Market” program and are selling a special Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market tote bags, which include coupons from local merchants and Market vendors.

Locally Grown: The purpose of our Market is to offer locally grown or produced products to our customers.

Interested vendors or people looking for up-to-date information on the Market should visit our website at www.tippecanoefarmersmarket.com or contact Matt Owen at 667-8300.
