Tipp City Public Library will host a four-part series called “Life in China” presented by Zhannan Wang. He is a resident of Julin Province. During his stay in Tipp City, he has been teaching Chinese to students at the middle and high schools.
Wang’s first session, “Life in China – An Overview” is set for Saturday, Dec. 08 at 2 p.m. In this program, he will talk about the Chinese people in general and what they do for recreation.
On Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m., Wang will focus on “Family Life in China.” Subtopics for this session include roles within the family, how family members are named, and jobs.
On Saturday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m., he shares his insights on Chinese food.
On Saturday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m., Wang finishes his series with a look at Chinese Leisure and Culture.
This series is sponsored by The Friends of the Tipp City Public Library. Registration is not required.
HOLIDAY MUSIC SERIES CONTINUES
Library visitors can browse the shelves while listening to seasonal and holiday tunes performed by Treva Westfall on the hammered dulcimer and harp. Ms. Westfall will be on the library’s main level from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 01.
LAP STORY TIME
“Sounds of the Season” for two year-olds, is set for 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10. Toddlers will enjoy songs, stories, a flannel board, and fingerplays. Each toddler must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required.

HOMESCHOOLERS’
ART DISPLAY
Be sure to visit the library’s children’s rooms during the next few weeks. Display boards are filled with artwork made by students in grades two through six. These young artists took part in our recent six-week series called “Art Experiences for Homeschoolers.” Representations of artistic methods which originated in Australia, Japan, Africa, South America, Mexico, and Native America are featured.
