Tipp City Public Library will present visitors with “Holiday Music in the Library” each Saturday, now through Christmas.
Harpist, Trisha Pence will grace the library’s main level with music of the holiday season on Saturday, Nov. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. At only 15 years of age, Miss Pence is already an accomplished musician performing with the Dayton Area Harp Ensemble. Stop in, relax, and enjoy.
Next, on Saturday, Dec. 01 from 2 to 4 p.m., Treva Westfall will fill the main level with her selection of holiday music performed on the hammered dulcimer and harp.
On Saturday, Dec. 08 from 2 to 4 p.m., “Holiday Music in the Library” continues with Flutes Etcetera. The quintet is comprised of Lucinda Black, Carolyn Christy, Teckla Dando, Emily Feeser and Angela Requarth. They began performing together in 2005, and they do not limit their programs to the flute. Their time together has resulted in a bounty of beautiful music which includes Baroque, classical and jazz arrangements.
The Mountain Dulcimer Society of Dayton will entertain library visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec 15. The Society has been sharing and promoting traditional dulcimer music around the Miami Valley for many years. Don’t miss seeing them this holiday season at the library.
With Christmas just a few days away, stop in on Saturday, Dec. 22 from 2 to 4 p.m., and let Musician and Librarian, Jill Peters’ selection of seasonal favorites help you renew your holiday cheer. Ms. Peters will sing and accompany herself on the keyboard.
