Tipp City Public Library will host an evening with local author and historian, Scott Trostel. He will speak on his latest book, Angels at the Station. His visit is set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
Angels at the Station is a continuation of Mr. Trostel’s series which pays homage to the hundreds of volunteers who organized train station canteens to provide comfort to soldiers destined for World War II. These stations proliferated across the country, and many remained active providing food, small gifts and encouragement to soldiers bound for combat during World War II through 1970.
Mr. Trostel has also authored several other books on Ohio history and railroads. His program is open to the public, and everyone is welcome.
GAMES GO LOW TECH
Second and third graders are invited to “Games Grandma and Grandpa Played” at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15. Participants will learn about popular games of the past, and how they were played. They should come ready to have fun.
Registration is required. Sign your child up when you visit at 11 E. Main St., or call 667-3826 today. Visit the library online at http://www.tippcitylibrary.org and click on the calendar link for a full listing of upcoming events.
TRUSTEES TO MEET
