Tipp Ginghamsburg Church in the News

Water is a basic need everywhere and is particularly important for displaced people in camps in South Darfur, Sudan, and their host communities, and Tipp City’s Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church is doing something about it. A four-year relief project is focusing on re-establishing water supplies and improving sanitation in refugee camps in the war-torn African nation. The ministry is an outgrowth of a continuing collaboration between Ginghamsburg Church and the United Methodist Committee on Relief. In all, the Ginghamsburg church has raised more than $1.8 million for its work with UMCOR in Sudan, which started in February 2005. For more information or to make a donation, visit the church’s website at http://ginghamsburg.org/.
