New Chamber Exec has Big Plans for Downtown Tipp City

(excerpt) The Tippecanoe grad says he’ll unite business owners and other city supporters in his new role as coordinator. Matt Owen brings to his new job a love for his hometown and a passion for invigorating downtowns. Owen, a 1988 Tippecanoe High School graduate, was hired last month to fill a new position of chamber president-downtown partnership coordinator that is jointly funded by the city and the Chamber of Commerce. “It’s kind of hard to believe that I am here,” he said last week from his desk in the chamber office downtown.
